"Join My Game" is the first episode overall in the Brawl For Paradise series.

Initially released on March 1, 2020, but for unknown reasons, it was removed from the platform. However, it was eventually reuploaded on November 9th, 2020. While the reupload was a welcome sight for fans, some viewers noted that the after-credits scene present in the original release was absent in the reuploaded version.

While the animation may not have been polished, and the writing may have been lacking, "Join My Game" still served as a promising start to what would become a much-improved series. It will set the foundation for an exciting and engaging storyline, with characters that viewers could root for and a world full of potential. As the series progressed, the animation improved and the writing became stronger, cementing "Join My Game" as a pivotal episode in the development of the show.

Plot[]

Cold Open[]

Beanie is seen lying on the grass, gazing at the sky, when he hears a distant scream that gets louder and closer. He realizes that it's Oreo, who proceeds to bully him. Crown and Ice Cream witness the bullying and acknowledge that it's an everyday occurrence. Feeling helpless, Beanie hides behind Paddle for protection. Oreo approaches Paddle, pretending to be clueless about Beanie's whereabouts. Paddle lies to keep Beanie safe, but Oreo sees right through the deception.

Beanie, feeling brave, picks up Paddle and uses him to hit Oreo, sending Oreo flying across the grassland. Despite being scared, Beanie feels a sense of pride in standing up for himself against Oreo. As a consequence for his bullying behavior, Oreo is punished by Ice Cream and Crown.

Diamond's arrival[]

As Paddle watches Oreo getting punished, he suddenly feels the ground beneath him shaking. The shaking worsens, and Paddle rushes to inform everyone that something is about to emerge from the ground. However, before Paddle can explain the situation, the massive crack splits the ground in two, and Diamond, the host of the show, emerges from it. Unfortunately, Diamond's arrival is unstable, and the impact of his emergence results in the accidental deaths of everyone nearby. However, Diamond has a button that he uses to recover everyone who was killed.

After Diamond presses the recovery button, a black void shoots up into the air, recovering everyone who was killed in the accident. Once the recovery process is complete, Crown immediately questions Diamond's authority, asking where he came from. However, his inquiry is met with a chilling death stare from Diamond, which puts Crown in a state of fear and unease. Despite no words spoken during the death stare, Crown suddenly declares that he is now in charge, which strikes everyone as strange. Diamond then announces that he is starting a competition and invites everyone to participate, even though they did not agree to it.

The contestants start to argue among themselves, but their discussion is interrupted when Red Marker appears, having unintentionally dug his way to their location. Diamond decides to add him to the competition using the button, as Red Marker expresses his desire to stay and make friends while participating in challenges. Diamond then instructs everyone to form teams for the competition and shoots up into the air to start the show's intro.

Creating the teams[]

Ice Cream attempts to gather her friends to form a team, but Diamond interrupts her, stating that she is not the team leader to do such action. He then appoints Strawberry as the team leader for her team using his button, much to Ice Cream's disappointment. However, Strawberry consoles her and offers her the role of assistant. Diamond proceeds to pick the next team leader, and Oreo threatens to beat up Beanie if he is not selected. Beanie is scared and hopes Oreo to be picked, but unfortunately, Red Marker is chosen instead. Diamond warns Beanie to run for his life as Oreo chases him offscreen.

With the teams sorted offscreen, Beanie runs up to Diamond to point out that the teams are uneven and he hasn't been picked. Diamond solves the problem by having the team leaders, Red Marker and Strawberry, play rock-paper-scissors to determine who gets to have Beanie on their team. Crown questions if the rock-paper-scissors mini challenge was all they were doing. Diamond informs him that it was just a warm-up, and the real challenge begins later. Strawberry wins the mini challenge by picking paper, and Beanie is placed on her team. He breathes a sigh of relief, grateful not to be on Red Marker's team with Oreo.

Challenge[]

Oreo asks his team for advice on how to avoid being voted off by the viewers. Crown scolds Oreo for even asking, reminding him that he's guaranteed to be eliminated after what he did to Beanie months prior to the competition. Oreo denies any wrongdoing, claiming that bullying is all he's ever done. In a flashback, Oreo is shown tormenting Beanie by dipping him in lava and pushing him off a cliff. Crown becomes sarcastic, pointing out that Oreo has definitely done worse things than just bullying. Red Marker comes up with the idea for his team to be called "Team Blaze" because of Fire Shell's blaziness. He goes to Diamond to tell him the team name.

After Red Marker's team came up with a team name, Diamond urged Strawberry's team to hurry up as the sun was setting. Strawberry asked her team if they liked nature and after Paddle and Beanie agreed, she came up with the name "Team Leaf". Paddle eagerly went to Diamond to tell him their team name. Meanwhile, Crown and Oreo argued about which team would win. Oreo was confident that his team would win and criticized Team Leaf's name as basic, but Crown defended it as a good name. Oreo can't come up with anything to say in response to Crown's argument. Diamond ultimately made the decision and declared Team Leaf as the winner. Strawberry went to Diamond to collect her gem token, which granted her the power to take half of her votes away. This meant that Team Blaze was up for elimination. Oreo stuck his tongue out in disgust that his team had lost.

Stinger[]

Oreo decides to pull one last prank on Beanie by throwing a ball at his head before he gets eliminated. He notices someone in the distance and gets scared. Ice Cream emerges from the forest and runs towards as Oreo screams in terror. Ice Cream punishes him once more for his actions, leaving him to regret his decisions and think twice before engaging in such behavior again. It is worth noting that this after-credits scene was cut in the re-upload of the episode.

Trivia[]

• This is the shortest episode in the series.
• Fire Shell and Ice Shard make an appearance, but they remain silent throughout the entire episode.
• Beanie is the only contestant not to be picked for a team, he is not assigned to a team until the rock-paper-scissors challenge between the team leaders.
• Ice Cream punished Oreo twice for his misbehavior.
• Fire Shell was supposed to be voiced by Brown Scarf and Ice Shard was to be voiced by Derokinge. They were meant to have speaking roles, but due to time constraints, the plan was scrapped, and they ended up appearing without any dialogue in the episode.
• During late 2019, pre-production for BFP 1 began. The production of the episode itself began in February 2020, around the same time when Derokinge joined the Brawl For Paradise Crew.
• The episode was completed in just one month, with all the hard work and dedication of the team to make it happen.
• This is the only episode in the series to have such a short production time.
